About Dr. Rappon
Dr. Joe Rappon serves as the Vice President and Head of Alcon’s R&D Pharma Platform, leading the pharmaceutical research and development organization and technical capabilities. Having held leadership positions at SightGlass Vision and Alcon (Novartis), he has extensive experience in clinical and technical development, medical affairs, and program management. His mission is to help patients see better by developing and launching innovative ophthalmic products.
Dr. Rappon received his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science degrees from SUNY College of Optometry and completed the American Course on Drug Development and Regulatory Sciences at UC San Francisco.
