About Mr. Osborne
J.D. Osborne is Vice President of Alliance Management at Aurion Biotech, where he leads the strategy, execution, and oversight of key external partnerships supporting the development and future commercial launch of the company’s endothelial cell therapy. During clinical development, he also serves as the senior field-facing leader, driving Aurion’s vision and executing the global clinical site engagement strategy, including Global Surgical Training.
J.D. brings two decades of experience in medical sales, including commercial leadership and clinical development over the past ten years in the ophthalmic industry. Prior to joining Aurion, he worked in pharmaceutical and rare disease biotech sales before transitioning into ophthalmology, where he built the commercial department at CorneaGen as Vice President of Sales. He has been involved in the Corneal Endothelial Cell Therapy program since the initial proof-of-concept trials, leading surgical training, technique development, and innovative instrumentation to support optimal clinical outcomes.
J.D. holds a BA in Business Marketing and Management from Lenoir-Rhyne University, an MBA from Campbell University, and a Management Master’s Certificate from Duke University.
A defining career milestone for J.D. is supporting Aurion’s Corneal Endothelial Cell Therapy program from clinical development through commercialization and helping make it accessible to those in need.
