About Dr. Torres
Dr. Andrew Torres serves as Chief Technical Officer at Aurion Biotech, where he leads all aspects of chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) for the company’s cell therapy platform. With extensive expertise spanning process development, analytical methods, formulation science, CMC regulatory strategy, quality control, supply chain management, and GMP manufacturing, Dr. Torres brings a comprehensive approach to advancing Aurion’s therapeutic pipeline from bench to bedside.
Before joining Aurion Biotech, Dr. Torres held leadership positions at Molecular Templates, Neoleukin Therapeutics, and Regeneron, where he drove critical CMC initiatives for innovative biotherapeutics. Earlier in his career, he served as Lead Scientist at GE Global Research, supporting numerous projects for both government and commercial partners and establishing a strong foundation in translational science and manufacturing excellence.
Dr. Torres is a prolific innovator, holding more than 30 patents and authoring numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications that have advanced the field of biopharmaceutical development.
Dr. Torres earned his PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Northwestern University.
